»Analog« is the diploma project of Svenja von Döhlen. Svenja developed and designed a completly new magazine format. Her concept was to transfer an online discourse into a printed format. The aim of this project is to make online contents accessible to an audience that is primarily used to print material. Furthermore, Svenja developed a unique visual style that merges contemporary graphic design with structural qualities of web pages. The topic of the first edition of Analog is privacy. The edition contains various online materials like blog entries, blog comments, flickr photo streams, the Google privacy policy. Next to the content of the magazine, the design itself is a visual comment on the challenges that a modern society meets regarding the privacy of its citizens. The magazine is available in German only. It can be ordered from the Analog website. |
