In 2002, 
Philips AEG Licht
launched a new type of luminaire: the Carpe Diem.
One of its most interesting features is the ability of dynamically changing
not only the brightness, but also the temperature of the emitting light. Using this
feature, Philips AEG Licht created two new concepts for office lighting:
Dynamic Ambience and Personal Light. In order to illustrate these features,
we created an online interactive demonstrator, the Carpe Diem Website.
The central piece of the Carpe Diem Website is an interactive demonstrator that enables the web-users to experience the possibilities of this new system on their computers. The demonstrator visualises the changing of the light according to the settings of the user, illustrating the basic concepts of the lighting system.
