The main challenge of this project was to develop a structure that guides the users through the configuration process. The CD ROM version uses a tree-like interface, not unlike the Windows Explorer. The tree interface proofed to be difficult to implement online. Furthermore, a more structured selection process seemed advisable. |

The configuration of a luminare is completed in four distinct steps. (Luminare family, casing, equipment, safety class). In each step a number of options are presented. The interface offers a high level of flexibility. At any time, the user can change the configuration by selecting a different option. Once a product is configured, the user has access to all available product details and to a number of planning-tools. |
